The Oceanico Laguna Course is among the tougher courses at the Vilamoura Complex, where Golf Course Management & accurate tee shots are the key for this course.
Even if you can dodge the dunes & the water hazards you still have the tricky greens to negotiate to keep your score ticking over!
The Oceanico Pinhal course is one the more forgiving courses out of the quintet and will provide some welcome relief for those golfers that might struggle on the other Vilamoura Courses.
With the front nine holes meandering through the pine trees the back nine becomes more open and easier with many pleasant sea views.
The Oceanico Millenium Course designed by Martin Hawtree encompasses the original 9 hole layout from the Oceanico Laguna North Course plus a completely new nine holes.
Built within the natural & outstanding beauty of woodlands together with the plentiful lakes makes this all in all a very pleasing playing experience.
The Vilamoura OCEANICO OLD COURSE, the old lady of the Vilamoura Golf Complex was opened in 1969 in time to host the Portuguese Open in 1970 and again in 1979.
The 18 Hole par 73 course comprises of rolling undulating sloping terrain which is tree lined with mature and a variety of very tall trees. Oceanico Old Course You will have to be on you’re A game to play well on here unless of course you have a dodgy handicap!!
This is the new addition to the terrific Vilamoura Golf Complex designed by Arnold Palmer & opened in September 2004.
Home of the Algarve Word Cup in 2005, some 6,560 metres in length from the championship tees this provides even the Tour Pro’s a very challenging exam paper let alone the modest club amateur.
Wetlands & mature trees have been preserved and maintained along with the lakes around the
course which provide the much needed reservoirs for the course.
With several tee positions on each hole, wide and undulating fairways, extensive water hazards & well placed bunkers this makes it a totally unforgettable playing experience for the low and
high handicap golfer.
